Jennie Gillespie is co-director of Topline Group together with her husband/business partner Neil Gillespie. Jennie’s main business focus is finance, HR, administration and marketing requirements for the business whilst Neil’s focus is sales, contractual and the operational side of the business. They both share in HS & compliance requirements, strategic planning and obviously there is overlap in their roles to cover all aspects of the business effectively.

Jennie has a background in spatial design. She graduated from design school which lead to work in retail and office design in Auckland and then Sydney. In Sydney she then specialised in the design, sale, importing and installation of upmarket German kitchens and bathrooms. On returning to NZ, she spent considerable time studying business systems, management, and administration (NZIM, NCB) before joining husband Neil to create Topline, a plumbing and roofing business, in 1987.

Jennie is passionate about continuous improvement and has led the company through updates across the business to ensure Topline is top of its game. She was also instrumental in developing a companywide team values and business principles system that guides actions and purpose.

In her spare time, Jennie likes to make the most of the great outdoors – tramping, walking, boating, gardening and she enjoys catching up with family and friends at their beach house on Awhitu Peninsula as well as fishing with Neil, NZ road trips and travelling abroad. She and Neil have 2 adult daughters, Britt and Dani. You will usually see Jennie accompanied by Ted, their family dog.
